# Dexra docs

Dexra answers questions about Solana launches, tokens, wallets, pools, perp markets and swaps in one call, with a verdict and the evidence behind it. Agents connect over MCP, bots over REST; the tools and answers are the same.

## Quickstart

1. **Get a key.** [Create an account](https://dexra.dev/signup), confirm your email and create an API key. Free gives 100 credits a day; no wallet is needed.
2. **Connect your agent.** Pick your client; without the header the free tools still work and paid ones are paid per call.

**Claude Code**

```sh
claude mcp add --transport http dexra \
  https://api.dexra.dev/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer dxr_…"
```

Terminal

**Codex**

```
[mcp_servers.dexra]
url = "https://api.dexra.dev/mcp"
bearer_token_env_var = "DEXRA_API_KEY"
```

~/.codex/config.toml, with DEXRA_API_KEY set in your shell

**Cursor**

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "dexra": {
      "url": "https://api.dexra.dev/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer dxr_…" }
    }
  }
}
```

~/.cursor/mcp.json

**VS Code**

```json
{
  "servers": {
    "dexra": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://api.dexra.dev/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer dxr_…" }
    }
  }
}
```

.vscode/mcp.json, or MCP: Open User Configuration

**Claude Desktop**

```
Name:            Dexra
URL:             https://api.dexra.dev/mcp
Request headers: Authorization: Bearer dxr_…
```

Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector

**Gemini CLI**

```sh
gemini mcp add --transport http \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer dxr_…" \
  dexra https://api.dexra.dev/mcp
```

Terminal

**Windsurf**

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "dexra": {
      "serverUrl": "https://api.dexra.dev/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer dxr_…" }
    }
  }
}
```

~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json (older versions: ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json)

**Zed**

```json
{
  "context_servers": {
    "dexra": {
      "url": "https://api.dexra.dev/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer dxr_…" }
    }
  }
}
```

Zed settings (zed: open settings file)

**Cline**

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "dexra": {
      "type": "streamableHttp",
      "url": "https://api.dexra.dev/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer dxr_…" }
    }
  }
}
```

MCP Servers → Configure MCP Servers

**Local only**

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "dexra": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "mcp-remote", "https://api.dexra.dev/mcp", "--header", "Authorization:${AUTH_HEADER}"],
      "env": { "AUTH_HEADER": "Bearer dxr_…" }
    }
  }
}
```

Clients that only start local servers, through the mcp-remote bridge

Cursor and VS Code also install it in one click: [Add to Cursor](cursor://anysphere.cursor-deeplink/mcp/install?name=dexra&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL2FwaS5kZXhyYS5kZXYvbWNwIn0=), [Add to VS Code](vscode:mcp/install?%7B%22name%22%3A%22dexra%22%2C%22type%22%3A%22http%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Fapi.dexra.dev%2Fmcp%22%7D) (then add the `Authorization` header with your key).
3. **Make a first call.** Ask your agent to *describe address So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112*. That tool is free. From a bot, the same call is:

**curl**

```sh
curl "https://api.dexra.dev/describe_address?address=So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112"
```

**TypeScript**

```ts
import { Dexra } from '@dexra/client'
const dexra = new Dexra()
const result = await dexra.describeAddress({ address: 'So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112' })
console.log(result.summary)
```

**Python**

```python
from dexra import Dexra
dexra = Dexra()
result = dexra.describe_address(address="So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112")
print(result["summary"])
```
